The Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (pron. Template:IPA2) that is located in Lisbon is the most important art museum in Portugal as well as being among the most important in Europe.

The museum is popularly known as MNAA and the National Museum of Ancient Art.

It is the best museum in which to understand the development of Portuguese art prior to the early nineteenth century.
