Nemo is a Latin word meaning "no man" or "no one".

Namesakes

  • Casta est quam nemo rogavit, a line of poetry by Ovid from the Amores meaning "chaste is she whom no man has asked"
  • Little Nemo, a fictional character created by American cartoonist Winsor McCay. Nemo was originally the protagonist of the comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland
  • Captain Nemo, a fictional character featured in Jules Verne's novels Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and The Mysterious Island
