Now! (1965) is the title of a short subject directed by Cuban filmmaker Santiago Álvarez, about racial discrimination towards black people and ensuing race riots in the United States.

The propaganda/political film film uses elements such as morgue photos and assorted newsreel footage, reminiscent in style to current video clips.

The short featured the 1963 song of the same title by singer/actress Lena Horne.

Song

In 1963, American actress and singer Lena Horne was increasingly concerned by issues of racism in the United States and she left RCA Victor and signed to 20th Century Fox, to record the civil rights anthem "Now!," a song based on "Hava Nagila", with lyrics by Jule Styne, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green. The song was used as the backdrop for the political film Now!.
