François Boucher painted three paintings[1] known as odalisques, one odalisque brune and two very similar ones known as the odalisque blonde. The 'odalisques blondes' are in German museums and are known as 'Ruhendes Mädchen'

Odalisque blonde (two portraits of Marie-Louise O'Murphy)

In 1752, at fourteen years of age, Marie-Louise O'Murphy posed nude for two similar memorable and provocative portraits by artist François Boucher.

One[2], dated 1752, is in the Alte Pinakothek, the other[3][4], dated 1751, is in the Wallraf-Richartz Museum.

The most famous one is the Odalisque blonde which is in the Alte Pinakothek, Munich.

Odalisque brune (portrait of Boucher's wife)

There is also the Odalisque brune[5], currently at the Musée du Louvre, for which his wife supposedly was the model.

Diderot said of the Odalisque Brune that Boucher had prostituted his own wife (prostituer lui-même sa femme):
