È Libera, Scusi

Pino D'Angiò (born in Pompei in 1952), real name Giuseppe Chierchia, is an Italian singer. He first came to the attention in 1979 in Italy with "È Libera, Scusi?" and gained wider European attention one year later in 1980 with the pseudo-rap record "Ma Quale Idea," which had appropriated the bassline of McFadden and Whitehead's "Ain't No Stopping Us Now." The song sold two and a half million records.
