Polish film posters were produced by the Polish government in a time when film distribution in Poland was publicly financed.
The Polish film poster industry has been defunct since 1989 when the film distribution was privatized.
Notable designers are Roman Cieślewicz, Jan Lenica and Franciszek Starowieyski.
