Prakrti or Prakriti or Prakruti (from Sanskrit language प्रकृति, prakṛti) means "nature". It is, according to the Hindus, the basic nature of intelligence by which the Universe exists and functions. It is described in Bhagavad Gita as the "primal motive force".
