Richard Seaver (b. 1926) aka Dick Seaver is an American critic, writer and translator. He contributed to Merlin and became editor of the The Evergreen Review. He translates mainly from French and has translated works by Samuel Beckett, Marquis de Sade, Marguerite Duras and Jorge Semprún. [1] [May 2007]
