Spartaco (1953, US title "Sins of Rome") is a sword and sandal film by Italian director Riccardo Freda. It was one of the first Italian peplums, predating Steve Reeves's Hercules by four years. It starred Massimo Girotti and Freda's future wife Gianna Maria Canale.
