Sleuth is the 1972 film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning play of the same title by British playwright Anthony Shaffer. The screenplay was adapted by Shaffer. Directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, the film stars Sir Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine.
