Sois belle et tais-toi

Sois belle et tais-toi ("Be Beautiful and Shut Up") is a documentary directed in 1981 by French actress and director Delphine Seyrig. In this documentary famous actresses talk about their role in the movie industry, and the demand to "be beautiful and shut up".

The film included actresses Rita Renoir, Shirley MacLaine, Maria Schneider and Jane Fonda, amongst others, speaking frankly about the level of sexism they had to deal with in the film industry.
