This Year, Venuses Again... Always Venuses! (1864) - Honoré Daumier

Depicted is no. 2 of the sketches made at the Salon for Le Charivari, 1864. Honoré Daumier satirizes the bourgeoisie who were scandalized by the Paris Salon's Venuses, 1864. Venus in this context means any female nude, later also called "nana".
