The Sky's Gone Out is the third studio album by English gothic rock band Bauhaus, released in 1982 by record label Beggars Banquet.

The song "The Three Shadows" references Maldoror with the lyrics: "I hold the fresh pink baby with a smile. I slice off those rosy cheeks because I feel so thirsty." It is based on the text: "lorsqu'il embrassait un petit enfant, au visage rose, il aurait voulu lui enlever ses joues avec un rasoir."
