The 1950s had a popular revival during the 1980s, Bettie Page became in vogue again and Memphis design celebrated laminate of 1950s diners. In music there were acts such as the Stray Cats. Garage rock as a genre started being documented. In the early 1980s, comic book artist Dave Stevens revived Bettie Page in "The Rocketeer".
