Vertumnus[1] (1590) is a painting by Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo. It depicts Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II as Vertumnus and is held at the Skokloster Castle, Sweden. One of the most famous paintings of the 16th century, Vertumnus pictures the face of Holy roman emperor as Vertumnus, the roman god of the seasons, using fruits and vegetables. The painting was stolen in Prague in 17th century.
