Word Virus is an anthology of writings by William Burroughs, was published posthumously (according to the book's introduction, Burroughs himself approved its contents prior to his death).
Aside from numerous previously released pieces, Word Virus also included one of the few surviving fragments of And the Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks, an unpublished novel by Burroughs and Kerouac.
