Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart is a 1934 popular song with words and music by James F. Hanley. It was introduced by Hal LeRoy and Eunice Healey in the Broadway revue Thumbs Up! Probably the most notable recordings were made by Judy Garland and by The Trammps, but many other versions have been made. Among the artists and groups to have recorded this song include Frank Sinatra, Billy Eckstine, Jesse Belvin, The Coasters, The Move, Chet Baker, The Smoking Popes, and Rufus Wainwright.

In 1972, a recording by The Trammps reached No. 17 on the Billboard, Best Selling Soul Singles chart and No. 64 on the Hot 100.
