Het Zuiderpershuis was one of the eight hydraulic (steam powered) power plants that were built during a period of 10 years to provide energy to the Port of Antwerp. The building was designed by Belgian architect Ernest Dieltiens.

It is located on Het Zuid. It operated the bridges and cranes at the new docks. The twin towered neo-baroque building is now home to a cultural center.

It was the home of the Internationale Nieuwe Scène.
