During the 1950s Hans Bellmer took bondage photographs of his companion Unica Zürn. One of those feature Zürn's naked torso and legs bound with string, her body transformed into a series of folds and bulges[1]. The image is featured on the cover of issue 4 of Le surréalisme, même (1958)] with the caption, "Keep in a Cool Place."

Another photo shows only the legs of Unica, tied with thin rope. This page[2] by Dennis Cooper, publishes some more photos.
