Dope Menace: The Sensational World of Drug Paperbacks[1] is a book by Stephen J. Gertz. It is a social, cultural and bibliographical study of drug-themed paperbacks 1900-1975 (Feral House, Fall 2008), featuring over 250 full color reproductions of cover art during the period under review, many of which have only been seen by a handful of people. The book features La Morphiniste by Grasset.
