Exposition des Arts Incohérents was an informal exhibition held in Paris on October 1, 1882, in the house of Jules Lévy (rue Antoine-Dubois)[1].
It featured a all black painting by the poet Paul Bilhaud titled Combat de nègres dans un tunnel.
There were a number of "Salon des Incohérents": 1882, 1883, 1884, [2]
In the seond show (1883) Eugène Bataille contributed an 'augmented' Mona Lisa (Mona Lisa Smoking a Pipe) that directly prefigures the famous Marcel Duchamp image L.H.O.O.Q. of 1919.
